Acclaimed Director Ron Hamad hones his craft as a visual storyteller with a distinctive gift for transcending the ordinary. His inspired casting, which epitomizes the behavioral wonders of humanity, is one of the widely acknowledged cornerstones of his work. Hamad weaves visually arresting images into the fabric of each performance, combining masterful composition, and mythic, dreamlike images that are both familiar and yet tantalizingly unique. Highly evocative art direction completes the mesmerizing canvas, another aspect of the director’s signature style that has enabled him to become one of the most sought after commercial directors working today.

Currently, Hamad is affiliated with TDN Artists based in Los Angeles for the General market, as well as OoLaLa! Productions based in Miami, for the Hispanic market. Clients of his television commercials include: Home Depot, Adidas, AT&T, Kraft Foods, Cheerios, Nescafe, Motorola, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Allstate Insurance, Foster Care, Florida Anti-Smoking. As well, he has recently finished a promo campaign package for The Showtime Network starring Jonathyn Rhys Meyers, and Sam Neil for a new epic series titled The Tudors.
Ron has been the recipient of numerous industry Directorial Awards and has directed commercials all over the country as well as internationally.

Hamad was raised abroad, benefiting from the celebration of diversity he experienced growing up in an international, multi-cultural community. He journeyed to the mid-west area of the U.S. and joined his brother’s production company, learning all facets of film-craft, as well as earning the necessary discipline and skill-sets to become a cinematographer. He was soon bit by the directing bug as well, and spent his early years shuffling from the set to the editing room, mastering all aspects of the work. Known for possessing a total command of his craft. Hamad points to those early years as instilling in him the kind of dedication that has served him well in his 20-plus year career.

As a Photographer, Ron is also drawn to the more fleeting moments and images - a flash of beauty – nearly invisible flickers of light across landscapes and faces. His earliest memories are the extraordinary landscapes he grew up around and the richness of the ancient culture that molded him, not the least of which is the extended family of women who inspired him to follow his dreams. His tireless enthusiasm, regardless of the medium, illuminates all of his work, and is endless quest for innovation can be seen in his passion of using restored vintage cameras in a great deal of his photography.

Hamad’s work has graced several covers of the nationally syndicated magazine, Aquarian Times, including an article featuring the photographer himself. His photography was selected in what is regarded, as the most prestigious Photographic Exhibition of it’s kind in Los Angeles, Focus On AIDS 2002. His shows include “ Divine States,” “Quiet & Still,” and “Sacred Forms.” His work has also hung in numerous Galleries in other cities. The music group Laurel has licensed three of Ron’s pieces for their latest album, including its cover.

A few of the many private collectors of his work include, Anna Getty, author and celebrity yoga guru Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa, fiction author Stacy Simms, Dr. Christine Collins, Sada Sat Kaur Khalsa, Ray & Serene Dillman, Rhoni Epstein, Dr. Hari Bhajan Singh Khalsa, Bobbie Gale, composer Garrett Parks, and master photographer Takashi Iwahashi.

Several Foundations have utilized Hamad’s work for their annual fundraisers, including The Lance Armstrong Foundation, Focus On AIDS Los Angeles, the LA Gay & Lesbian Center and Yoga For The Next Generation. Hamad has recently been invited to debut a collection of his work at the prestigious Kodak Salon in Tokyo, Japan. The show will take place in July 2005 and is titled “The Eternal Feminine,” featuring about thirty images.
